Why As-Built Measurements Matter
How field verification protects schedules, closeout documents, and future work.
As-built measurements document what was actually installed. They help contractors verify tolerances, coordinate later trades, support closeout requirements, and create a reliable record before work is covered.
Measuring early can expose a conflict while correction is still practical. This is especially valuable for foundations, anchor bolts, underground utilities, and structural elements.
Useful as-built deliverables clearly identify the measured features, reference control, date, and any deviations relevant to the project team.
